We’ve learned a lot along the way, and one thing’s clear: great products don’t come from gut feelings or random ideas. They come from asking the right questions, aligning the right teams, and, most importantly, solving the right problems.

Here’s how we approach building at Enterpret.

Start with the Problem, Not the Solution

Too often, product teams jump to solutions before fully understanding the problem. (We’ve all been there.) At Enterpret, we take a different approach. Before thinking about what to build, we zero in on the problem we’re solving.

That means getting crystal clear on:

  • Who the problem affects.
  • Why it matters.
  • What success looks like.

We lean on insights from our own platform—surfacing the real pain points buried in feedback—to make sure we’re solving what actually matters to customers, not what we think should matter.

Make Assumptions Explicit (and Challenge Them)

Assumptions are sneaky little things. They creep into decisions without us noticing. That’s why every project we take on includes a “scariest assumptions” check.

We ask:

  • What are we assuming about our users?
  • What if we’re wrong?
  • What would change our mind about prioritizing this?

It’s not about being perfect—it’s about catching blind spots early so we can make smarter bets. And when you work with real customer data, not just hunches, it’s easier to keep those assumptions in check.

Collaboration is Key (No Lone Rangers Here)

At Enterpret, building isn’t a solo act—it’s a team sport. Product, design, engineering, GTM, customer success—we’re all in it together.

We share context early and often, using a single PRD template to align everyone on the same page. This makes space for feedback, questions, and collaboration at every step of the process. And here’s the kicker: when everyone feels heard, the final product isn’t just better—it’s something everyone’s proud of.

Outcomes Over Outputs

This might ruffle some feathers, but here it is: shipping features isn’t the goal. Delivering value is.

For us, success means:

  • Seeing customers’ lives get easier because of what we’ve built.
  • Watching behaviors shift—adoption, retention, conversion.
  • Hearing customers say, “This is exactly what we needed.”

We’re not here to check boxes. We’re here to drive real results that customers can feel.

Reflect, Learn, Repeat

Once a feature ships, we don’t move on and call it a day. Instead, we revisit our decisions:

  • Did our assumptions hold up?
  • Did the feature deliver the value we expected?
  • What could we have done differently?

This reflective loop helps us learn and improve every time so our next decision is even better than the last.
